Mexico 86 was fantastic. The best I've seen was Mexico 1970. As mentioned the rarified air made the ball do a lot. Iirc, it was the first World Cup with a new light ball, and the Brazilians were in their element. A guy called Jarzinho, was knocking them in from everywhere. Pele was at his best, and that save from Gordon Banks was out of this world. Gerd Mueller was on show for Germany for the first time. It was also the first time we watched it on a colour tele.
