Got to feel for Martina -not the best and ripped before he even kicked a ball .Then once he had ,ripped again , so in the Everton way ,given he has only one foot we play him left back !! almost makes me cry -but fair enough he ploughs  on and played a big part today

Brilliant to transform our defence in such a short space of time. They never got behind us once and our 'keeper was never exposed. Even their goal was a piece of individualism.
Every team in the league bar City would take that result.

OK to open my eyes yet ?

Was more worried at 1-1 than rest of the game ...

Well played Blues - they had just 3 shots on target.

We didn't nick a point. We fought tooth and nail to not get battered. What is wrong with you people? We just played the best team in the premier league. And the most popular second team for everyone else, and got a deserved draw. :)
Don't agree mate. Mane not playing in a team mate saved us. No chance at 2-0.

Think Mane being a greedy twat just before half time saved us 2-0 down game over.

That was really the only time we look a bit ragged at the back. The difference you have to say from earlier in the season, even weeks ago is night and day.

Mane MOTM for his 3 on no one when he had a shot. My favourite idiot

Cuco Martina actually played that break well. He took a great angle in closing Mane down that made the pass slightly more difficult.

Tactically, it was the most negative I have ever seen Everton set up for a very long time.

BUT, we won a point from a moment of quality from Rooney, and a good bit of forward play from DCL.

Delighted with the result, happy with the defensive performance, but we were absolutely woeful in attack. Even with big Sam's tactics (which i thought were spot on), Niasse and DCL needed to hold the ball up much better than they did, and we needed to press a little more in the first half.

Well in all honesty, before the game I was checking the record books for what was the worst defeat at their place.

Take that all day.

Confident that Sam knows how to set up against certain teams regardless of how shite it is.
I told the wife to stay out of my way ,I thought it could be bad .

I do have a certain amount of sympathy for Martina, it's a pretty big ask for him to switch to LB. I don't think he deserves to be the punching bag all the time, although clearly we do need a LB in.

DCL put in an immense shift there.

He had to really, up there on his own, even with Niasse on as he wasn’t up to it. Kenny and DCL proud to wear that shirt.

I thought Williams and Gueye did well too.
