Couldnít find another sig thread (must say something that)

I didnít want him because I didnít think he was what we needed, but generally I like him and have always liked him as a player.

Do we think he will ever play as a 10 for us, or will he battle yannick for LW?

Must be that we canít set up with 2 in the middle, so another midfielder would add even more value if it meant we could use sig behind Tosun?
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

I was disappointed that even when Rooney was unavailable against Bournemouth, we still didn't see Sigurdsson at 10. But that game is best forgotten.

Don't think he'll ever live up to the price tag but that's not really his fault.

I think he's done well for us and especially the last few games he's become a lot more influential.

Didnít realise from gishighliggt clips over the years on sky and MOTD that he has absolutely no pace .

Wasted as a winger but as we have no one else currently fit itís good he willing to do a job for the team.

Be nice when bolasie is fully fit and we can see him in the number 10 role

Thatís what Iím saying though, we donít play a number 10. We play 4-3-3 generally, and when we do play a more advanced CM he doesnít get a look in.

And when

Heís really good isnít he?

Hardly ever gets knocked off the ball and is one of the hardest working players in the league which is rare for someone of his ability. Heís full of composure, scores worldies and showed last night that he can produce in the big games.

I'm more trusting of fellas when they have my cock in their mouth

Think the perception of what he does will improve with Tosun (hopefully) providing more of a platform to build from, enabling Sig to score more, and also finishing crosses.

Plus if we have pace and goals on the other wing (struggling with current options) then heíd be balanced on the other side.

We really need to play this guy in his position ....not out wide ...anyone can see he's well better through the middle ,starting to look like a bargain too the more he plays the better he looks .

Will look more than fine on the left when Baines is back.

At the moment Martina doesnít go past him so when he gets the ball out wide there arenít any distracting runs etc.

Baines is also very good at playing the ball diagonally in from the touch line so will find him in good tucked in positions.

Did great for Swansea as a number 10, went to Spurs and got played on the left which made him far less influencial, failed and went back to Swansea... Played in the centre and was great again.

Moved to us, played wide left... Didn't shine.  It's not rocket science but because of having to accommodate Rooney every manager seems to think it's a good idea

It is Rooney who worries me not Sigurdsson. Maybe the emotions of the derby overcame him like it does all of us. He did not like being subbed so early, but we all know why he was subbed and so should he. However he has been subbed by Sam a number of times. Clearly he cannot be expected to regain his old energy but I hope the decline in that area does not become too serious. He can still play an important role and with better players hopefully signed some of the responsibility might come off him.

Rooney needs to play a lot of football to stay fit, his recent illness will take the edge off him for a few games, but.. it won't take long for him to get back up to speed. That's the way his physique appears to work. It was obvious at United where he was terrible when he didn't get any game time.

Last para mega important.

We lost a LOT of passing from deep when Baines got injured and Barry went.

Would guess rooney has helped replace it but the ability to play an accurate pass diagonally into feet from deep is one of baines most underrated qualities.

Re sig : few in the league can shoot edge of the box like him. A pacey RW, Cenk up top and a functioning midfield and Sig will start being a very important player for us very quickly.
