It's the only way many of us have of "connecting" to the manager. The only things I knew about Big Sam before actually listening to him were what was written on here and in the media. Never heard him speak, never knew what he was actually like.

Looking back, Martinez is a nice guy, still probably is. But he's not a good manager. Koeman seemed to say it as it was, but was too blunt, the Dutch arrogance shone through. Unsworth even picked up that point by saying players don't like being shouted at these days because it hurts their feelings.

Really like him. Think he's a decent bloke and a quality manager. Think he's well up for a challenge at the top end of the table too.
