Frightening thing is.... we still need a number 10. It's as if we decided Sigurdsson was a playmaker purely off his fantasy football points

Which is the downside of signing players based primarily on stats, as Koeman liked to reel off.

Might end up getting double figures this season Sig. If he does he'll have delivered what was expected.

Much better balance with Davies on. When Rooney drops deep Davies moves forward and makes the extra man, intelligent play from a young lad.

Special mention for Kenny too, another driving run resulting in another goal. Seamus Mark II it's looking like.

It does seem a very deliberate tactical play when Rooney and Davies are both on the pitch to have them interchange at will. Works very well and offers so much more to our game.

Good to see a load of young lads all looking out for each other there.

Might finish the game here with more than half the team being kids, but kids that are doing the business. Lots for Allardyce to work with.

? Nah.

Big the kids up, you don't need to have a pop at Jagielka though.

He's got a point though.

Thoroughly unconvincing
We've played some shite sides and we have been shite too but hey ho
A wins a win

It's a really poor league in truth.

The fact we're now chasing down Burnley for 7th says a lot about why we shouldn't have been panicking about going down a few weeks ago. Just needed a manager worth his salt to instil the basics into them and get some consistency of team selection.
