I don’t care how tall he is or if he is the striker we need, but if a player of his quality is available and he wants to play for us then it’s a no brainer !

He has scored wherever he has played, top player and already a top level player and not one who has potential. We already have a lot of players with potential we need this type of player now, not just because we can get better results but just think of what the younger players with potential can turn into if we have a higher quality player playing and training with them!

Just training with better players can make players learn and play better, imagine younger players who are still learning but are learning more and quicker than older players. I know we all want young players with talent but these type of signings are also really important in more ways than one!

Gameiro was at Sevilla for 3 years before going to Atlético, scored 1 in 2 there as well

Sandro might possibly be going the other way if he hasn't got the stomach to fight for a first-team place. I want Sandro to stay, but all the bits of the jigsaw fit this scenario. :)

seen this guy a lot over the years. he´s the real deal. whether he would be the real deal in the prem is a different story though. soldado was one of the best players in the league before he went to spurs and then was awful when he got there. certainly worth a punt. he´s a grafter aswell. would love him here.

In our position, having to immediately boost the scoring potential, we do not want any galoots from Europe "who will need time to adjust, to the physicality, pace, weather, language, country" etc.  Fancy names, fancy prices poor results unless you are buying top players who would not come here anyway.

You seem to have a subtle hint of scepticism about “foreigners” in a lot of your posts. Tell me, if you voted ‘OUT’, what was your reason?

What has that got to do with football? But since you ask, I voted "Remain" on the rather ignorant grounds that "better stay with nurse for fear of something worse".
The football point is an obvious  one to most people. We have two examples of misfits (one cost £23m) who have been a waste of space for 4 months. We cannot afford to risk it again in view of the urgency to find a goal scorer who might hit the ground running in late January.   Comprende senor?

I've wanted Gameiro all along and think he'll do well, but I'm curious as to who you think we could get who won't need to adjust to the physicality and weather etc. I'm assuming you're referring to someone in the prem, then I'm stumped as to anyone who has a record anywhere near as good as his that we'd have a chance of securing?

That Bas Dost is absolutely smashing it again. 13 goals in 15 games so far.
