Maybe if we look at how his previous teams have played we could get a clue?

If only he'd managed a premier league side before....

Come on lad, you're going all MLT on us here

Honestly.... In attacking positions we are shit. We dont have a striker or a playmaker and our only good offensive winger is playing his first 45 in over a year. We have shite players and big holes in attacking positions

Saying that weve been shit defensively to today. Its been crap but people are itching for a poor result so they can get at Allardyce.

I have no problem with Alardyce generally. I want us to win. But I disagree with the team selection. I disagree with the tactics. This is not fun to watch. And we are struggling against one of the worst teams in the league. It is utterly reasonable for me to be unhappy with this performance so far.

I also, besides our lacking a striker, don't think our attack options are that bad -- so we are starting our assessments from different places.

Is no-one at all aware of the effect of Rooney's absence ?

I think our best player and goal-scorer being missing is quite important.

Wonder if we'll have another attempt on goal in 2017
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Doesn't necessitate playing a defender in place of him.

To be fair Hal Robson Kanu doesn’t sound like a one man attack!

I'd be surprised if they even bothered to show the game.

All's I want for Christmas is a shot on net.

Reminds me of the Christmas threads this Allardyce debate.

Swap me bland socks for a bland goal Sam lad.....
