Steinbeck's maxim: ďSocialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.Ē.

Either way just before Christmas isnít that long ago!

Issue would be cohesion with the team but we donít have much of that anyway up front ;)

Exactly. It cannot be any worse than what we have, start him and just see how he gets on in my opinion, I just hope it is sorted as we have bugger all chance otherwise.

Probably heard we're paying Sandro 120K a week and wants something similar

A few reports say the agreed wage is £140k a week.

I'd expect the usual crowd to be piping up about us needing the Chelsea money first to pay for him soon....

Yes, we're being condescending. Yes, that means we're talking down to you.

Hi guys,

I'm a Besiktas fan from Istanbul!

Turkish sport news site sporx.com reports that both sides have agreed on the terms of Tosun's contract and there will be a signing ceremony at 20:00 pm today (that is 17:00 pm CET).
Further they report that Cenk Tosun has been training with a private conditioner at the Everton facilities for three days.
Anyone seen him around? :)
They tell he will get EUR115k (~GBP 100k) per week.

Not quite sure if that info is reliable, though.

But no matter what, it seems that this is a done deal.
As I see in this forum, the expectation level has skyrocketed, but I think it will still take some time for him to adapt. But afterwards, I am sure he will succeed. I have trust in him, and he has proven that before. He played as a bench player behind Demba Ba, Mario Gomez and Aboubakar. Only this year he was a sole starter sending Alvaro Negredo to the bench.

Cheers from Istanbul

Cheers for the info, mate.

Us Evertonian's have fabulously high expectations for a team thats won shag all for 30 years. As long as the lad can nab about 30 before the summer, i'd say he's done enough to warrant the price tag.

Looks like the lad on TEF was right then..... Echo saying no personal terms have been agreed
Am sure it will go through tho, Allardyce is gonna look a bit of a tit if it doesn't and Walsh's stock would fall through the floor

Simply simply lovely
