We've got a squad of over 30 players, most of which aren't very good and a decent number of them on over £70k/week I would say. Wage bill would need trimming I would think if we're going to add another two on over £100k/week to it.

Yeah i agree we deffo need to trim the wage bill

I thought you meant we needed to sell to fund the transfer costs, my mistake

Can't believe we have so many average players on high wages, i'm still in the mindset of 50k or over they need to be top class
Ahh.....Boucheenie i presume

No expert on ffp by any means but I think we just have a swollen squad in general and they’re both on relative big wages without any playing time at all.

It only matters as fans mate. As soon as money became the renewable god, in terms of Everton and John Moores and now Farhad, It was obvious a lot was going to change. EFC is, and has changed as an institution, from what I can see.

Painful how long this has gone on for. We never do anything the easy way.

I'm really struggling to see what Steve Walsh brings to the table as our DoF. Apart from maybe Vlasic, who I fully believe was signed on the back of the Europa League games against Split, we haven't signed a single player that any of us sitting watching PL football every week couldn't have identified.

Tosun should be in the squad for Friday but won't be, purely because Walsh is inept. He flew out to Istanbul to finalise the deal almost a week ago.

And the price reported, went up. :)

Sack Walsh, this is intolerable. Who says he must be to blame? We do.

If Walsh isn't to blame for our recruitment failures, then who is? How many of the signings have worked out? I'd say 3. Pickford, Rooney (which was always going to happen) and Vlasic.

It's only because you haven't got his job that you don't like him.

Even Vlasic is debatable. To date.

Maybe right not to be put down as a success just yet, but I thought he was our best player until he was bombed from the squad by Unsworth. Definitely a talent there.
