Major Clanger

Sam Allardyce on Davy Klaassen: “The lad is prepared to fight for his place, but in all the other players, there seems to be more coming from them. As a person and lad, he’s a terrific young man, but at the moment, there’s not a place in the side for him.” (Source: Telegraph)

I'll translate it: "He's doing his best but he's a bit shit."

The mirror are saying david moyes wants tom davies  http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-ham-boss-david-moyes-11848002

I’ll tell you what, we’re in a lot of fuckin troubled. If our club has decided this is a positive move for us we have a load of delusional ass holes running the show. We would get nowhere near his true value just like Barkley, every other club starting to pull our pants down not just the big boys anymore, West Ham for Christ sake.

Yikes. That is a genuine problem.

If you think this group is uninspiring now, wait until all those soon to be 29 year olds start to decline. Good luck shifting those wages out.

Read a few Burnley fans saying Lennon may go their way once the Walcott deal is done.

Dyche would not touch him with a barge pole. He is best suited to a lower league. It would be great if your rumour came off though.

So there's all those old players...

Then there's the kids, Kenny, DCL, Davies etc. up to aged, say 23.

So who is in their prime, aged 24-28 ?

Been knocking about the Burnley rumour mill for weeks that one.

I know that list looks scary but it isn't really.

Walcott 29 in March - Still got 2-3 years in him
Rooney 33 this year - Contract up end of next season
Jagielka 36 this year - Will be off in the summer
Williams 34 this year - Will probably be off in the summer, but contract up the year after anyway
Sigurđsson 29 this year - Has got the brain to have another 3-4 years if moved inside and back
Bolasie 29 this year - Not too sure he'll ever reach his old level, certainly won't get any better
Schneiderlin 29 this year - Ship him out in the summer, may have to bung him a few quid
Baines 34 this year - Will be a second choice left back from next season. We hope.
Coleman 30 this year - Similar to Bolasie.
Gueye 29 this year - Will need to be replaced in time but still a decent member of the squad
Martina 29 this year - On low wages, will be easy to help him on his way

You need some experience in a squad and that list will start to wither away within 18 months. Granted there is little to no resale value in it but Moshiri keeps telling us we have deep pockets so....

Klassen (24) Sandro (22) and Keane (25) if they’d all settled...

Keane will come good though.
