Canít face sitting through an hour of Elstone rabbiting on about Everton in the community and talking about a plucky win against one of the top 6.

While woods sits there pulling his angry face an Bill stays at home allegedly pretending he is too busy/sick while allegedly getting live updates via phone throughout the meeting.

Itís a circus and the whole thing especially the obsession with Everton in the community stinks of small minded club syndrome aka Kenwrightitus

Everton in the community is something we should all be very proud of and I for one think the way the club champion it is admirable. Other clubs following suit and using Evertons model for their own Community initiatives shows how good a job the board/club do. Long may it continue.  @therealdunc it seems its you with the small club syndrome.

The board should Tell me how they are gonna make us competitive to win the league and champions league, not rabbiting on about community Work like it replaces the complete lack of trophies over the past 20 odd years.

Iím sorry we are a football club first , and we need to start winning trophies again

No we are a business first and football is just one aspect of that business, albeit a large aspect. As with all business's PR and public conception have a huge impact on future investment and balance sheets. Just look at the shit storm that's hit h&m today, looking like a caring, charitable organisation can offset future issues to a certain degree. So it isn't small minded, its the club looking at the bigger picture, whilst helping the local community it operates in.
