Planning permission approved. The Grade II listed Gothic Jerome and Carlisle buildings opposite the Shankly Hotel will be transformed into a four star hotel, conceived in tribute and honour to the life of Everton legend William Ralph “Dixie” Dean.

Gonna look brilliant when its all done. Developers are asking the council to pedestrianise the area and rename the road Stanley Park Avenue. It will be the UK's first football quarter

....................just a word to the wise ,Liverpool hotel prices double or even treble on Fri/Sat whereas  Sun to Thurs are very reasonable. Twenty years ago it was the other way round. How the city has changed and they still keep opening new hotels.
