You were right all along, with Koeman AND Allardyce.  Some people will just never forgive you for that.

Haha are you joking. Some people will never forgive him for not rating a couple of managers? You're so bloody dramatic

Like Iíve said. Heís more interested in buying his bird Mercs and making Instagram stories.

Silly boy if it's true. Doubt we are paying him enough to be set for life. Could get his head down work hard in an enjoyable job and earn 10s of millions. Wouldn't even have to have a particularly fantastic career for that

Mangala, jusus. Our scouting network is badly shit

Least there's some potential there and getting someone at a low ebb so hopefully cheap if we choose to buy

Rather that than a Sigurdsson who's overpriced and good but never gonna be quite good enough

Lookman out on loan to Leipzig.

What an odd move. Do we think we are looking to move him on

It is odd in that we've loaned him to a side who are better than us

He can't get a game for us but we expect him to get time at a better side than us??

You can't imagine they'd be interested in taking such a young inexperienced player on loan if there wasn't a good chance they could buy him

Donít disagree, why does that make Mangela a bad signing ? If we had signed Messi would you have said fucks sake Messi we need a left back ?

Think Lionel could make a reasonable wingback

Got to say I think allardyce is right on lookman and so did everyone else when commenting on it being a strange move

Foreign country, different language, questionable if he'll get minutes. Surely all he's saying he advised him to pick a different option but he was stubborn and ultimately it was his decision.
Hardly slagged him off unless I'm completely misreading it

People on here said it was a strange move...... allardyce says it and he's a monster wanting to eat our prospects with gravy and wash it down with a pint of wine

Yeah not sure - they had Burke who went it WBA in the summer (I think) so theyíre not averse to left field signings.

And Iíve absolutely nothing but support for people who want to go somewhere else to try something new.

If he plays then great.

But if he doesnít (and the risk is magnified with settlement issues etc.) then from our point of view itís a waste of time if there are safer (playing time) options available.

I think the biggest issue is they are probably too good for where he's at in his development. He should have gone to the best side he could that would see him as a starter every week. Maybe they do but it seems extremely unlikely
Also surely it's a dangerous game to loan our players to better sides. If he does well he's not going to want to come back regardless of what role we see for him next season.

Another question might be:

Is it better to play half an hour 15 times against top flight opposition or to play 90 minutes 15 times against worse defences?

Pros and cons to each, obviously.

It's a good move for him if he gets 20-30 minutes every week. There's doubt he'll get anything like that though
