Anyone know what he is actually for ? Was his appointment and retention by subsequent managers borne out of a belief that he was a fan “legend” and there would be an outcry if he was not given a job/retained.
Strange that he was kept on by both Koeman and Allardyce, I just see him sitting on the bench chatting shite to Allardyce.

How do you actually know what he's talking about?

Well whatever he’s talking about it’s not having any impact so it might as well be shite.

Put the cones out and carries the bibs and balls

I’m sure that’s not far off the truth, I mean by all means recognise him for his service and past contribution but is he really the best we can do to develop the likes of DCL, Tosun, Niasse ?

Was told that he was banned from shouting instructions from the bench by Martinez

Then someone should tell him Martinez has gone and that he should tell little Sam to stfu and get a bit involved in the game himself.

Amuses me how a lot of people slag him for not having much input but on other topics they're the ones saying he should be binned as he's partly responsible for our decline.
Wasn’t slagging him originally, was just asking a question but what is the difference between those two scenarios ? One could slag him for not giving any input and at the same time blame that for the fact that our strikers are not being coached, didn’t really see anyone blaming him for our decline though ?

These discussions about Big Dunc are weird. It's like blaming the kid with the towel for Henman not winning Wimbledon.

Nobody has blamed him for anything, where do you get that from ? People simply asking what he does, do you know ?

You just blamed him for talking shite! ! 😲

You need to look up the definition of “blame”  :)

You reckon there's a thread on a Huddersfield board musing/wondering/accusing/blaiming/whatevering about Andrew Hughes' role?

I don't to be honest.

How did we get onto the subject of Andrew Hughes ?

I think people are so desperate to pin the tail on a donkey that they're searching high and low for a scapegoat, as if he's somehow responsible for diabolical recruitment or negative tactics or a totally unbalanced system.

I don’t think anyone needs to search for a scapegoat when it is blatantly obvious that Allardyce and Walsh are to blame for diabolical recruitment and negative tactics, don’t you agree ?

Duncan is part of a coaching team...probably consisting of at least 4 of them......

he will have a role to play but his role obviously doesn't consist of "tactical input" on match day....

I would say it'd be more about monitoring and assessing progress/non progress of players on a day to day to basis...with some input on coaching sessions during the week.....his verbal input will come throughout the week in the form of feedback on his observations....I would also assume his feedback will influence player selections........

the big question should be...."is his feedback taken any notice of?"......

Thanks, that answers my question exactly, you are probably spot on.
