Most preseason predictions were 7th, it appears that our blues will end up in 8th.

For me it looks as though there's a long way to go, but not nearly as bad as it could have been.

But, also not nearly good enough, giving the spending and expectations pre season.

Says more about the standard outside the top 6 than is does us.

Shows that our summer spending was pretty much small change.

What a wank league

The league has always been pretty shite and even below the top five or six. It's only since Sky was obliged to televise those teams that people have cottoned on.

the quality of the league is shite , apart from the top 6 ( look at the goal difference of teams) when you look at the bigger picture work out how many points we should be getting as a minimum each season ,

we rarely take points off the top 6 (12 games) deffo away,

that leaves 13 teams (Home & Away) (26 Games)  we should be beating the rest at Home and drawing  the others

2pts average per game

we should be getting a minimum 52pts before a ball is kicked

then throw in the odd surprise  and the teams we should be beating twice ---along with the surprise defeat ----to take us above 52pts

Pretty much every season below 7th or 8th these teams have negative goal differences.

Didn't we have one when we finished 4th?

Can't remember such a poor standard of league and seems everytime we have a chance to capitalise we manage to fuck up as well.

Says it all when 11th place only has 38 points with two games to play.

Considering the Lukaku sale, there's no doubt about that. Worse the spending was mental, no striker and 3 players at the same position. FUCK ME!

I think we've been lucky to leap frog Leicester.
