Be a decent move considering how longs left in the window

Everton are homing in on Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma after growing frustration in their bid to prise Yerry Mina from Barcelona, according to the Times.

The newspaper claim the Merseyside outfit are close to signing the defender, 23, in what is likely to be a loan deal.

The Times report Chelsea are willing to offload Zouma for the 2018-19 campaign even though he signed a six-year contract a year ago and is highly rated.

Mina signing, and Zouma on loan double-bubble would go down very nicely indeed.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Keep hearing diego reyes name mentioned, who is he??

A Twitter account (@efc_insider) who has mentioned him a few times. Seems pretty bob-on, as he mentioned Bernard way before it came to light. Reyes is a free signing we have lined up if our other options fail, but he is asking for a bumper deal apparently.

Holgate would be the perfect foil for someone like Mina or Zouma. Hope he gets significant game time this year.

Reckon Zouma would be excellent. Lost his way last year at Stoke, as you would, but before his injury looked like he was going to be top drawer.
The only slight concern is if he never gets the impressive athleticism back post a pretty serious injury but a loan is a no brainer.

I would be very happy with Zouma.

Id go 5/6 based on the fact anyone we sign now wont probably feature for the first few games, in fact id be surprised if it isnt just Richarlison that plays against Wolves? If we got them in earlier and gave them a chance to settle in and be prepared for the season it would probably be an 8

5 out of 10? And Im meant to be the forum misery

Haha what did people expect?

Deadwood gone, quality and youth added at very good value.

Its been a solid window and a 7/10 at worst.

The Blue 3/4 of Liverpool

If we get Mina, and its looking like Bernard, then to add them to Richarlison and another Barca player; a French International full back, not to mention one of the most promising young keepers in world football, then so far I would say thats a 7/10. For what Everton have produced in Transfer Windows over the last few decades that's not bad going to be perfectly honest. We've also shifted some of our deadwooders, so big bonus there too. If we get any more signings on top of all that (central mid, forward) then that's the cherry on the cake, so maybe an 8 or maybe even 9 by our standards. But so far, a 7 aint bad  at all... for us :)

:) High standards!! But thats based on where we are, lots of speculation that could improve it but assuming we get Bernard or Mina done today you're not going to see them probably for the first few weeks of the season. Zouma might be different as he'd be up to speed a bit more. Like I said if they were done a month ago it'd be an 8 as I think the signings themselves are really good, just think its very late for so many bulk changed to have an impact. But id rather have them than not so its good all-round.

7 on 10 with Bernard and Mina. Use the sausage as a breakwater.

And one more point each for a bonus CB, CM, and striker. So a possible for a 10 on 10 if we went metal and signed 5.

If we bring at least one CB by close of tomorrow then I'd say 8/10, if not it's a 6/10

Too early to judge yet, even though most of it should have been done by now. Could go either way. Feeling positive still.....
