I watched Zenit v Spartak Moscow a couple of weeks ago and Bystrov was booed by both sets of supporters when his name was read out before the start of the game. It all stems from him leaving Zenit for Spartak originally - the Zenit fans didn't like it and tried to veto the move but he left anyway. Now on his return to Zenit the Spartak fans have decided they don't like him either. So he might be open to a move.

This was from a while back, but we was apparently after a fella from the Ruben kazan side, and it says would be intrested in jan.His name is Ryazantsev? cant find the daily mail link for it. but here is a statment from another site...
Everton boss David Moyes is understood to to keen on luring Rubin Kazan'a highly-rated midfielder Alexander Ryazantsev to Goodison Park in the January transfer window.

Moyes is actively pursuing a number of targets as he looks to bolster his squad in the New Year following a disappointing start to the season, and has also been linked with Gimnasia de la Plata enforcer Fabian Rinaudo.

Apparently Moyes has good scouting links in Russia.

He was tipped off about Hleb and Arshavin well before they came to prominence, unfortunately we didn't have any money to buy them.

So it wouldn't surprise me if we did get someone from out that way. Although, like Bily, they would be tired having just played a whole domestic season.

Hleb played for Stuttgart before Arsenal and has never played in Russia to my knowledge. Think he played for some minor Belarusian team first.

Bystrov would be a great signing from what Ive seen, pace to burn and direct, exactly what we're lacking. Won't happen though.

CSKA looked good in the champs league (though they're prob all doped up to fuck) Krasic looks a class act and will go on to better things, they've some good young players like Dzagoev (sp?) too.

Its a good place for talent.

Turns out Hleb started his career at our opponents on Thursday, BATE.

Krasic and Mata have been the youngsters that have impressed me the most recently.

I'd like to think that we'd be ideal for Krasic as he'd get a game for us more than many other clubs, especially the clubs involved with the chumps league.

Can't see it happening, although saying that, I didn't see Bily coming either so theres hope.

Also with Russians not qualifying for the world cup we have to stand a better chance of geting russian international loanees.

Maybe we could take akinfeev on trial for a few months seeing as we are after a young goal keeper.

also either of the Berezutskiy brothers or Ignashevic would be good options to bolster our defence.

By Russia, I meant the general Eastern Bloc!

Well Hleb signed for Stuttgart from BATE in the year 2000 or something, so Moyes must have had good contacts there if he had them as far back as his Preston days!

Doubt we've got a chance of getting any CSKA players. since they qualifed for the knockout stage of the Champions league, there season is still ongoing.

Plus one of the Berezutskyis and Ignasevich are banned (awaiting length of punishment) for failing drugs tests

Yep.

The story I heard was that he was looking at Hleb, I presume (given the dates) when he was at Stuttgart, but that his contact/scout for Eastern European players said that while Hleb was good he would be better off waiting for Arshavin.
