Also saw this. It does read like it was written by someone from this forum, but it seems like after the first few days with the Pray for Son movement that the other side of the story is finally being allowed out.

He seems a nice fella and I've certainly bought into him at times in the past, but how that misconstrued opinion of him as a creator still persists I don't know.

Less responsibility on him in a better midfield and more people showing for the ball should help him.

But yeah...not convinced he has a job any more now we have real midfielders.
In the 433 system we played last week he gets in every week
If we move to 2 in the midfield he wont play

As @TheRam says above, he is fine for us at present

Trying way way way too hard
played ok for the first 10 minutes and then stunk the place out like he has for most of his Everton career.

He is a defensive midfielder who never wins the ball.
He is a creative midfielder who doesn't create anything.
He is a box to box midfielder who does not run around much.

None the above would matter if he didn't slow everything down so much every time he got the ball.

In English football like 30 years ago, when everyone played 4 4 2 with a couple of yard dogs in central midfield, a dude who could amble around and pass the ball sideways was a big thing like Jan Molby.
