Does seem a bit mad we've got a couple of wingers playing CL football this week in Onyekuru and Vlasic.

We loan players out who play CL football, buy and bring players in on loan who are injured and keep another who doesn't seem interested in playing for us

I really liked Vlasic when he arrived. It seems something went wrong behind the scenes though. None of Unsworth, Allardyce or Silva backed him. Pity, would be nice if he came back and turned it around here.

“Cuco has been excellent,” Rowett told the media ahead of the visit of Blackburn. “He’s one of those players who sometimes goes under the radar a little bit because he just gets on with things.

“He does a lot of things well and makes a lot of good decisions. He likes to get forward and has played a part in a lot of the chances we’ve created.

“Cuco has got great composure but the big thing for me is the fact that he does his job how you’d want a full-back to do it. He defends when he needs to and gets forward when the time is right.”

Could still do a job for us.

He's not a Premier League player. There was stretch last season where our opponents left him unmarked during build-ups and forced us to play down his side because they knew he couldn't do anything with the ball. You can't have players like that in your team if you want to actually be good, even as cover.

If he's doing well enough to earn himself a permanent move away, that's fantastic.

Meanwhile here’s Williams being gutted that Swansea didn’t score against his current team.

As crap as the current situation is right now it makes me shudder thinking we could legitimately have Martina and Williams at the back still.

Martina was actually OK in his natural position at right back, he was just horrendous at LB.
