Which Everton attacking midfielder provides more tackles+interceptions per 90 than any other attacking midfielder in the league?

Bernard again.....

They've gone into PR overdrive for him today. Posted that article about 10 times and had a few of their writers talking about it on twitter.

Not the first 'stats' article they've done on him this year either!

Yeah, all the strikers fault according to them.

2018/2019

Matches 27
Goals 9
Assists 3

That’s completing missing the point though.

We’re one of the least creative teams in the league with what should be our main creative outlet averaging 25 passes a game.

That’s a massive problem.

What a strange statement that is.

Something a Twitter ITK would post.

Mad the way McCarthy hasn’t had a look in at all.

Another massive about-face on a player I see.

Now he's the answer to our prayers after a brief cameo against a shit side.

From whipping boy to saviour in 90 minutes.

Phenomenal.

Think we're just willing to be open to his return as he has qualities nobody else in the midfield has.

Plus it was one post where the word 'hero' was very much used tongue in cheek.

I wonder if we're seeing a Gana/Silva development in the mould of Kante/Sarri? Gana definitely had more license to get about the pitch on Tuesday. I could see it working, but a hell of a lot relies on Morgan being able to string a few performances together.

The 'axes of doom' as I think @kramer0 described a holding two of Morgan and Gana may not be quite so terrible if the latter has been told just to go and be a mad bastard all over midfield and not be so positionally disciplined.

Kante has always had good ability on the ball which means he can play a more advanced role.

I don’t think Gana is as bad as made out by some with the ball, but you won’t get anything consistent out of him in that role.

Wouldn’t be against it though. Morgan can pick a pass from deep and reads the game very well, something Gana can lack.

We suddenly have options in the midfield now. I’d personally like to see a three of Davies, Gana and Sigurdsson for the derby.

Davies plugs the gap that comes with having Sigurdsson in the midfield and has the best usage of the ball out of everyone in that midfield.

Think we’ll see a lot of chopping and changing now as silva looks towards next season and evaluates who can be a part of this rumoured midfield revamp.

On another note, set plays seems to be getting better.

Though this could change instantly.

Defo winning more second balls when it drops in the box.

How boss is Bernard though.

He’ll get better with better players around him as well.

Go out and spend 10-15mil on a keeper.

Nick pope, somebody like that. Someone who will be a back up but you know they can do a good job when called upon.

Pickford needs to be dropped after that today but look at the alternatives we have at the moment.

A little thing I noticed about the Digne goal.

When we were setting up for the corner he jogged towards the touchline to get a drink.

I noticed this because I was screaming for him to get on the edge of the box as a lot of our corners were falling towards that edge of the box in the second phase.

He slowly jogged towards the edge of the box, the United players were all set in their positions so didn’t pick him up and bang, hits a great goal.

I thought maybe he just really wanted a drink but he did the exact same thing on our next corner.

Again, maybe he was just really thirsty because of the heat, but I think it’s an example of silva and the little details he goes into.

Nothing wrong with crossing ball.

City and Liverpool score countless goals off them.

It’s not like we just lob it in there and hope for the best. We’re very considered and have quality when putting the ball into the box.
