I'm fine with it generally but, crosses are different to cut backs, and crosses typically produce lots of low quality chances rather a big clear cut chances.

We have massive volumes of crosses, but mid table big chances, so we're not that considered I wouldn't say.

26 efforts today but our xg was a little over 1. We should have won the game no doubt but finishing is less of a problem than creating good clear chances.

I’d say we created three clear cut chances today, two from crosses, one from a Coleman cut back.

Thing is, they fell to DCL and Tosun and when that happens you’re going to have problems scoring.

We could crest more chances, yeah, but that’s the nature with being a midtable team.

We have a proper striker on there today and we win.

If we create a clear cut one on one chance for DCL do we have much faith in him slotting?

Also, the XG won’t account for the amount of times Richarlison failed to get his head up and pick out Sigurdsson in the box countless times. He plays the pass there and we know what happens when sig finds the ball in the box.

Everton have had 10 attempts on goal inside 23 minutes here at Goodison - a total which once took them 23 games to equal under Sam Allardyce. #EFC

Ultimately we’ve had a poor season. Can’t finish in the top 7. Out of the cups early to Southampton and millwall (without beating anyone of note)
As an overview it’s been extremely shite

However we actually look a good team now. Excitement and hope for next season is pretty high and if we can retain our loans and get ourselves a decent striker we look comfortably better than than all the sides we’ve battled for 7th with this season

Been a hard season but there’s plenty to look forward to

Still think his largeness is a better manager?

6/10

Some good things, some bad things.

The bad things have all mostly been ironed out, but we did have an appalling run of form in the middle of the season.

For the most part though I’ve enjoyed watching us and started looking forward to seeing us play

Haven’t felt like that for about four years and it’s all down to silva and the environment he’s creating.

I think it’s because it came after sitting through Allardyce, it was just the straw that broke the camel’s back

Think we’ve been a lot worse under Martinez, Koeman and even Moyes at times.

Nah, not having that about Koeman.

Walsh was serving up players but he wasn’t interested in anything outside of the premier league or Holland because he’s a lazy cunt who couldn’t be arsed putting in the work.

Spent more time drinking wine in alderley edge than he did at finch farm.

We weren’t even that good in his first season.

Would the defensive XG improve with a goalkeeper in better form than pickford this season?

He's near the bottom of the league for saves per shot and all that type of stuff.

Good piece here about silva and his time in Portugal.

Very highly thought of over there. Gives you a glimpse into his character off the pitch.

I feel like people are going to keep making excuses up for Silva by saying that X player means he can’t play the way he wants to

It’s a fair comment, isn’t it?

Nobody knows how long Gbamin will be out, don’t think anyone has suggested that he is out for the next 9 months, could be back before Christmas, maybe sooner , maybe longer.

The manager said it’s serious mate.
