Yes but the overall performance was no better than ok. We had a big leg up scoring from three set pieces in the first twenty minutes.
I didn’t see the whole game but looking back at match reports Sig was given 8/10 (Digne was MOM with 9). Given the fact we won, scored 5 and conceded 1 away from home, I wouldn’t mind seeing a similar line-up tonight

Positives from tonight:

- Tosun is clearly our best option as CF. Some of the little flicks and link up play is what we've been missing.
- Davies played well. A very Tom Davies type of performance.
- Back up to 8th

Hopefully we can build a little bit of confidence from this and stair to resemble a premier league side.

Can’t get my head round this, nor the fact we’re 8th after being genuine horse plop for 2 months straight.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

We were 6th prior to the derby and the teams around us aren’t that great.

Think it shows that Silva is doing ok on the whole.

Assuming we are selling Gueye and not bringing anyone in, is the plan for the rest of the season....

Tosun up top. DCL the back up option

2 from Richarlison, Bernard and Lookman playing either side of him

3 man midfield of Sigurdsson, Davies, Gomes

Digne and Coleman as the full backs  Keane being partnered by Zouma at centre back with a view to Mina getting game time alongside Keane where possible to prep the main pair for next season?
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

CB situation is a bit more awkward with Zouma possibly being bought and definitely being the best of the three.

A bit mad considering the other two cost £30m each.
I'm more trusting of fellas when they have my cock in their mouth

I bet McCarthy sees some game time in the middle.

It makes sense to put him in the shop window provided we can keep him fit. Maybe he'll even prove to be a good option. That suits us either way.

Based on PPG, we’re on course for 52 points this season. Pre Huddersfield it was 48.

Koemans first season was 62 (and 7th).

Obviously 7th is 7th if we get it, but in terms of number of PPG, the games we’re actually winning/drawing, so far on current form this season is more similar to the last two Martinez seasons (47) and last season (49).

It's kind of impressive that Martinez only managed 47 points with Lukaku those last two seasons.

All Koeman had to do to get 61 points was play lots of long balls to Lukaku and shut down the midfield.
