It’s hard to blame Silva when we have three glaring chances and can’t score the only complaint I would have is that he should have taken off dcl instead of Bernard

Agree about the chances, there's nothing he can do about that. He can look at the issue of seemingly all of our play coming from our fullbacks and wingers however. Put simply, we need creativity through the middle. Gylfi isn't showing anywhere near enough in games. It's piss easy for any team to pick up on our play pattern as we create absolutely nothing through the middle. He needs to be accountable on this issue for me.

Maybe we can’t play through the middle cos we’ve a playmaker that hides and 2 others with no bravery in their passing. The players in that midfield are more of a problem than any system

He shouldn't keep picking Gylfi there then. He obviously knows how limited he is and it seems this is why we are so insistant on playing down the flanks. Either he trys something new in training or he should have looked at bringing in a new playmaker. Pretty sure he's said that he sees Iwobi as more of a wide man too so we're going to have issues unless he comes up with something.

The game last night had echoes of the Fulham game towards the end of last season, easy for teams who can nulfiy our wide play and shut up shop to beat us.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal who all came to Goodison were rolled over by us becuase they try to play against us and when teams do that we can be brilliant. Fact is though that only maybe 7 other teams in the league will try this, the rest just have an easy blueprint to beat us. Marco needs to earn his money on this one and figure this out.
