If we do turn in a good performance and get 3 points it will be a great result.

More than that though, it's one of those things that will indicate change. If we do start to pick up 3 points away from home against teams like these it will show how far we have come. Not that we have yet, exactly, but there are certain things that if changed will make a real difference to the feel of Everton for fans and players.

I don't think I'm explaining myself well so let me list the sorts of things we have struggled with for a while:

Coming back from behind to win.
Winning games away from home.
Beating teams from bottom third of the league with ease, comfort and by some margin.
Putting in performances in both derbies and taking points off them.
Getting to finals.
Winning silverware.

These things all seem to evade us traditionally, as a rule. If we start ticking some of these off - things will really be changing for the better and in people's heads too.

Maybe it isn't a case of people being 'dropped' maybe this is the first time in a long time we've had the quality of squad to try this new thing I've heard of called... 'Rotation'.  ???

Weirdly this could work in our favour a little bit as you have to imagine we're going to sit a bit deeper now we're down to 10 men, they've looked most dangerous on the break/in behind so it could nullify that.

They're now expected to force the issue, we can play on the break rather than having all the possession

All part of the masterplan?

Is it soft?
Yes.
Is it a red card under today's rules?
Yes.
Is it 2018?
Yes.
Then go away and find out why it us unacceptable to call people 'retards' - then come back and play nicely again.

It was individual errors that lost us that.

Baines giving away a needless penalty.

Davies falling asleep in the box letting Ake get the rebound.

For how poor people are saying we are at the back, we’ve only conceded one goal from open play so far.

I think this individual errors ties into the team's mental strength as well.

No way do we make the same mistakes if everyone is up for it and concentrating 100%.

Is this something that can be coached?

Hope Keane is ok and selfishly - I hope he is ok soon!
