I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Nah, the modern fan is waiting for summat shit to happen, and then piping up about it out of the blue in a smug, know-it-all fashion.

OK sure.

Digne set up a goal and played well.

Weve got to get over Baines.

Although I do like him coming on when we need a bit extra
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

This is the type of game that we need to be able to win if we want a European spot.

Frustrating - think it largely is because how cheaply we gave the ball away, careless fouls, and a style that reminded me too much of Big Sam.
Are we there yet?

They've both got a role here and Digne showed today he's not out of place as the starter.

Walcott and Richarlison are massive for us. Not sure how Lookman has done well for Leipzig never really seen him offer anything for us that screams starter.

That was pretty dire in general though.

The three in the middle offered nothing on the ball.

And another goal conceded from a set piece.

Agreed. I still think overall it's been positive. Generally we've looked very good in attack but if you look at the attacking players we're missing, it's hardly surprising we were a bit blunt today, and we all know about the defence.

Does feel like we've dropped 6 points overall though. Always disappointing when you're trying to capitalise on the likes of Arsenal and Utd having bad starts.

Its good that our games are more fun now (barring today)
The corner thing has to be a massive concern though.
Not overly convinced or concerned by silva so far. Do think the only way to any sort of vast improvement is the new signings. Think way too many of last seasons players are a little short whoever is our manager.

Yeah Sigurddsson was poor aside one great through ball for Tosun. Tom Davies runs around aot and Schneiderlin is fine at what he does but that's all he does. Got to hope Gomes can come in at some point and offer something different

Think Gueye might have offered something today with it being such a niggly game

Davies is so slow to 50/50s

Can I be the one to say it Davies is not -on present form -good enough .If he can't pass back then we are fucked ,he gave so many forward passes away or was caught in possession so many times .There said it and off to bed .Gash.

We weren't great but it's still a work in progress. Silva has stated he does zonal marking, always has, end of. Getting our players used to and proficient will take time. I look at the positives even though they're minor. After they scored we hit back.. They defended well and we attacked poorly but I watched the game with more desire than under Allardyce.
