Play Dowell or loan him to someone who will.

He has too much potential as an open play passer and free kick specialist to waste away on our bench.

Who do you drop for him?

Surely not, surely not in this form?
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

He can't even get 20-30 minutes at the end of a match when we need someone who can pass the ball and potentially unlock a set defense.

That's not good for his development.

I agree mate, would love to see more of him but you’d be the first to admit our midfield’s the most precariously balanced part of the side.

We are very, very open even with 3 midfielders who get through tons and tons of work. Opportunities might not have arisen just yet.

I think he’ll get minutes when we’re a bit more settled and reliable maybe. would have helped if he’d made more of a case for himself in the cup too, but is what it is.

Imagine if dowell, Lookman and vlasic all go on to achieve their potential elsewhere 😵

All aboard the play Dowell DM train.

Paul Riley flagged him last year as a stylistically similar passer of the ball to Kevin De Bruyne (plays similar types of passes from similar positions).

Pep uses de Bruyne deeper sometimes doesn't he.

He's done enough across a few seasons to be interesting but league quality is iffy in both. Nowhere near ready to be considered nailed on for us next year.

Something fishy about it anyway that signing, wasn't there rumours of a fiddle?

We may well end up selling him at a profit and moving on.
