Come on apologists being used in 2018 still?

He's got a lot to fix and deserves criticism, particularly for today but there is nothing wrong in wanting to give the man time.

Of course he deserves time. But Silva's track record suggested his teams were weak defensively and it's being proven correct so far. The past two home games, against two of the worst teams in the league, have been as bad as we've seen in recent years. Should we not expect any kind of improvement at this stage?

On a positive note, we finished the game with 11 on the pitch. That’s about it

Niasse action cam:

Wasted a good chance with a poor through ball

Tried to hold it up but got tackled

Ran into a West Ham player and lost the ball

Hit the bar 6 yards out

Gets the ball on the left, passes to a West Ham player

Lost a 50:50

Played a one-two with Gueye by accident

Headed the ball 8ft over the bar

Lost an aerial duel

MADE A SUCCESSFUL PASS TO DCL!!!!

Dribbled into loads of players and lost the ball
Was going to write that he is the expert of making the wrong decision at the right time.

The club on the field is a soft touch ever since Moyes left.

Holgate with a terrible performance for the second week running.

He’s being bullied or not challenging the ball every time, culminating in the third goal.

You can’t have it that every time it goes on his side the opposition have an easy platform to attack from.

Doesn’t have to be boss.

Just not weak.

Holgate 5/5 choice based on last two weeks.

After that need a lot of work on midfield combinations.

There's a lot of injuries, new players not bedded in and suspensions. It was a shit game, but personally I think our luck has to change eventually. We were pretty poor again today. I like Silva. He needs time.

9 goals conceded in 5 games suggest a little more than bad luck.

I'm absolutely not. However I was hoping we'd not regressed to the football we saw under Martinez. A nice balance would be nice.

That's ok then
