When he starts, he is pretty ineffectual on a consistent basis.  I am warming to giving him some more game time, but you are overstating his case a bit.

A specific example but he was great against spurs. Smart play for the assist and scored a goal which was harshly disallowed.

I think he's capable, but hamstrung by our poor form and lack of creativity in the middle. Should he be our first choice? Probably not, but he does bring more to the table than most seem to give him credit for.

I think Brands should back himself to find a better, less expensive option than Doucoure.
Should be doable for half the doucoure money.

Much more sensible option. We know what we are getting,  we know we want what we are getting and both sides now have an added vested interest in making it work.

Use the loan for the risky player.

Zouma would be an excellent signing. Would give us three solid CBs and two with reasonably high upside in Zouna and Mina.

Not convinced on the striking choice as I feel we need a mobile and strong CF in a Callum Wilson mould (not suggesting him necessarily).

Arguably the blaggest account out there that.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Umm, no, he's fine.

He deleted that tweet, but it's along these lines, that Augustin is still our preference.

Ah, K, missed that while I was posting. Nixon works for the rag, so he takes a shotgun approach to rumours, but they're usually ballpark realistic - he's better with the lower leagues though.

If Brands and Silva think a shiny, new striker is the solution to our problems, they're in for a rude awakening.
