Poch and Klopp both had proven experience to set expectations against and to buy them a first season transition. Weíre still hoping Silva has it in him to make the jump and be able to build a competitive side with backing and money. Itís understandable to still have reservations about him.

He had success in Portugal and Greece, and nearly saved an abysmal Hull side.

But it's not just one isolated game is it we 've been shit for ages and there is no sign of it changing.

One window isn't anywhere near enough to get rid of the shite we had and still own  .

He pretty much saved hull and then got them relegated again. They went from doomed to likely to stay up to getting beat my Sunderland and going down. His record in England is so far shit

Nah, they were shit before he went there, he improved them loads, and they still talk about him there with fondness

Thatís all true but he did kind of produce the miracle and then they threw it away. They were odds on to stay up with 2 or 3 games to play.

He seems to have lots of failure with lots of mitigation. He was an extremely risky appointment

Maybe they threw it away because they were actually shit, which they had already proven before Silva arrived and improved them to the point that they nearly survived.

Klopp.

Pochettino had an 8th place finish with Southampton and a sketchy record at Espanyol.

Not saying itís a certainty but even taking your point about previous records, they still didnít transform their teams overnight.

no and they did not spend £100m a window

he did not go form Espanyol to spurs and at Southampton there DOF picked to next manager

picking and agreeing to work with are not the same

People can be mad at a shite result with some shite attacking play, and still  want to give the manager a couple seasons to work it out. The two can go hand in hand.

And silva needs to figure out how to start getting results here. Iíll give him loads of time but as we speak he has more than enough to produce better than what we have been lately.

Klopp relegated with Mainz ( so far won nothing in his only EPL appointment )

Poch mediocre at best with Espanyol who never won anything, 8th place with Southampton but still not won anything

Silva won titles in Portugal and Greece, nearly saved Hull and midtable with Watford.

Elements of risk in all 3 appointments, as there is in every manager, coach, player or DOF.

But that duality needs to be expressed.

Silva better take the Lincoln game seriously  and go full strength on Sat or he can fuck right off

Lincoln are a good side. Hopefully Davies, Kenny, Baines and Lookman can come in for Gomes, Coleman, Digne and Walcott.

He came with no real credentials, but we knew that he was a risk, one window wouldn't have been enough for any manager on the planet to undo Koemans maraude into the market, he's the one that cost us very dear.  Keeping Brands sweet is probably more important than the manager over the coming couple of seasons, we don't need as many players as we did but still a good few in vital areas, and just as important a good few to off hire, which has made Silvas job no easy task.
I still despise Clive Thomas..
