For the players that could hopefully be a turning point.
Pissing down and freezing.
The media against us (how many times did they comment that we won't keep a clean sheet?!)
A shambles of a referee who was losing the plot.
The owners comments about our position (albeit about silva but I do think he has 100% of the dressing room).
And of course our poor recent form weighing heavily on their shoulders.
It's those types of games that when you grind it out. When you aren't at your best but you dig in as a team. It's those types of games that turn corners. I hope so and there's some favourable games coming up.

Yes fully agree we have a series of very winnable games coming up, today should give the lads a bit of confidence

Think the crowd being clearly frustrated at the start but coming onside as we pushed on will help as well.

Feels like a great 3 points and hopefully can take that into the second half of the season.

We'll have to accept some more ups and downs as we continue to work things out so I dont think that we should expect some miraculous form or not to have runs of poor form at points. As poor as we have been and on a terrible run we are 2 points from seventh. Any decent form from here on in and we should be in with a shout for 7th.

People can’t expect a team with no confidence to turn form round with a click of the fingers.

We battled on and scored another goal.

Conditions were awful for attempted controlled play so it’s not surprising there were heavy touches etc.

Nice to win a battle of a game, hopefully give the lads a bit of confidence that they can win these sort of games, started poorly but they dug in and turned it around. Ref was abysmal, worst performance I've watched from an official in a while.

Nothing patronising about it, Gomes should have had a second yellow for his challenge on Cook among others and also could have given away a penalty for pulling Lerma back in the box. The ref was poor but we benefitted from that as well.

The referee controlled that game all wrong and we lost out, due to it. To start defending an obvious bias of that distinct difference is patronising to me. That's why I said IMO, in the post and that was disregarded too. We won with goals, but lost severely with the officials.

Don’t know!

Richarlison took up better positions vs Cook in the second half and made it difficult to get a clean header.

That’s what you need all the time, which is hard work if you’re not massive.

I think we’re going to have to stick it out and dig results out and build confidence up so that we’re just better generally.

We’re still capable of good moves and they’re easier with confidence.

Yeah, it’s tricky.

Sigurdsson can produce some wonder strikes and some clever throughballs when we are breaking and have space, but he seems pretty impotent otherwise.

Gomes has been sloppy with the ball since the beginning of December, and his frustration was plain to see today where he could’ve been sent-off and conceded (an albeit soft) penalty.

Prayers for Gana having to cover that midfield.

Well! That was a different team in the second half, good performance all round. Gomes was a lucky boy. Ref was biased as fuck, hey, anyway, great result and 3 hard earned points. Hopefully push on again...maybe

Lookman is a player mate. Has some rough edges but the boys got to play.

On the other hand he kept Gomes on the pitch (out of sheer incompetence), who should rightly have walked and possibly given a penalty away.

Silva should have taken that decision off the ref though MC, he should have substituted Gomes right after he was booked, Gomes had lost his head there. Ref was shite though, their players seemed to be getting away with murder.

We didn't lose out due to it at all. We won two nil and were lucky to finish with 11 players.

We won, just be happy about it.

Could have very, very easily done. Twice.
