For the players that could hopefully be a turning point.Pissing down and freezing. The media against us (how many times did they comment that we won't keep a clean sheet?!)A shambles of a referee who was losing the plot. The owners comments about our position (albeit about silva but I do think he has 100% of the dressing room). And of course our poor recent form weighing heavily on their shoulders. It's those types of games that when you grind it out. When you aren't at your best but you dig in as a team. It's those types of games that turn corners. I hope so and there's some favourable games coming up.Sent from my iPhone using NSNO Everton Forums
Nothing patronising about it, Gomes should have had a second yellow for his challenge on Cook among others and also could have given away a penalty for pulling Lerma back in the box. The ref was poor but we benefitted from that as well.
Don’t know!Richarlison took up better positions vs Cook in the second half and made it difficult to get a clean header. That’s what you need all the time, which is hard work if you’re not massive. I think we’re going to have to stick it out and dig results out and build confidence up so that we’re just better generally. We’re still capable of good moves and they’re easier with confidence.
On the other hand he kept Gomes on the pitch (out of sheer incompetence), who should rightly have walked and possibly given a penalty away.
The referee controlled that game all wrong and we lost out, due to it. To start defending an obvious bias of that distinct difference is patronising to me. That's why I said IMO, in the post and that was disregarded too. We won with goals, but lost severely with the officials.
