Is he? No-one really knows it's been so long since he managed to string a few games together. This will get him in the shop window in a less physically demanding league, so less chance of him breaking down again. He might even play through the pain barrier too in that shirt.

Yeah, he is.

Quality wise the Scottish Premiership isn't nearly as good but physically it'll be just as demanding, probably more so for players coming from a better league as the likes of Defoe will find out when some grock wanting to make his mark goes through him like a bulldozer.

Mad how many players we have on big wages that literally dont ever even make the matchday squad.

Just shift him any way we can for now.

Niasse on 55k a week, Mcarthy on 50k a week, even if Cardiff/Celtic only pay 50% of their wages it gets well over a million quid off the wage bill.

Celtic are on the verge of signing Scott McTominay apparently, so cant see this happening if they do.

If I was Mc I would be off like a shot. Imagine if someone told him a few months ago that he would be on the verge of European Champions football very soon? He would never have believed it.

Its criminal were still paying for the ineptitude of our last three managers. The amount of money wasted by Martinez, Koeman and Allardyce is shocking.

Even just swerving the two Allardyce signings and seeing out the season with Lennon and Calvert-Lewin in those positions would have put us in a much healthier place today.

They may well be able to afford it but they are a business
like any other club and if they say yes well take him but hes not worth more than 25k a week it would be hard to argue the point.

We have basically no leverage selling players we have no intention of using.

Yes. Theyve probably budgeted to go straight back down, this is just a little roll of the dice to stay up rather than a concerted effort.

Thats not our issue, ship him out to someone that can. I doubt they can afford his wages either so dont really see the point in this, if it is true?
See him going on a free myself

Looked good in his first year, done absolutely fuck all else since except spend time on the treatment table.

Another piece of deadwood. Unfortunately we've got enough to have a decent sized bonfire.
