What worries me atm, is any manager who watched that debacle, would immediately say right lefts win free kicks, corners and throw ins and just pump it into the box. We have a defence that doesn't know how to defend crosses and a goalkeeper who won't come for them. No I think he will and should be here to the end of the season, if there is not a drastic improvement in our defensive and attacking play also if results don't improve then it's up to Moshiri to decide what to do.

No, it doesn't work if the original quote is wrong.

I voted yes not from the point of view I want him gone if we lose, but in terms of defining his Everton career it could be a pivotal game. If we win itíd ease the pressure and we could maybe start a run of improved performances and build confidence. If we lose the slump continues and the longer it continues the harder itíll be to turn things around.

See, I just don't get the McCarthy shouts.

We're creating the sum total of fuck all through the middle and had three shots (on target?) in the entire match against a shite championship side and conceded from three set pieces.

What would McCarthy being in the side do to change any of that?

I think itís more that weíre creating fuck all with the current midfield and still being overran, the thinking being that with a more defensive player in there weíll still do fuck all but maybe be better defensively.

Sig just isnít the player to receive balls between the lines at number 10, so if all Gomes has to aim for is balls out to the fullbacks you donít need to be an amazing passer to do that.

Fair enough, I don't think we're being overran in there tbh, not to an extent we're left exposed defensively.
