Great player for us. Definitely for the best though. Rather he played 30 times for sheff Utd than 5 for us. Deserves to play

Fucking love Jags, one of the best defenders I've seen play for us.

Had some truly memorable moments in his time here. I doubted he'd recover from his last serious injury, but he proved me wrong. Top captain too.

Good luck to him, served our club brilliantly.

Shame they couldn't confirm this before the end of the season and give him a proper send off from the fans. That sort of thing seems specially reserved for American goalkeepers or managers joining Man Utd.

Is it just me who sort of was hoping he'd be promoted to Silva's assistant?

Well all knew, but I'm still absolutely gutted. Easily my favourite Everton defender in my 25 years as a fan and probably in my top 5 favourite Everton players. Such a great player even at the age he is now as he showed towards the end of this season. I'd love it if he did a season at Sheffield United if he decides to carry on playing, it just seems fitting.

I guess I will have to change my avatar for the first time in many years once our new official club captain is announced (which I assume will be Seamus)

Been great jagielka, annoying when players with this type of ability leave without having won a trophy, that team from 2007-2009/2010 were good enough to win trophies

I'd have him & lescott as CBs in the best Everton team ive witnessed  (aged 27)

Him and Lescott were an absolute fucking joke of a pairing. At one point it almost felt like we were cheating.

Gutted he never won a trophy here.

Easily the best centre half Iíve seen for us. Shame how the last couple of years went for him. Felt like he was holding that defence together on his own for a lot of the time.

Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

Feels like somethings come to an end with him leaving (hopefully not retiring). Could see Wilder signing him for experience at Sheff Utd.

Probably one of the most underrated and ignored players in the premier league for me and it always annoyed me he was pigeonholed as a slow carthorse by most outside the club even though itís been repeatedly proven heís one of (or at least was) the quickest of anyone at Everton.

Finally found the thread where I said Deulofeu wasn't all that.

We will see in a few years where he is at. I'm betting he'll be at a worse club than Everton rather than at Barcelona.

Currently at Watford.
