Iwobi would depend on a character assessment.

Looks like he needs a rocket up his backside or an arm round the shoulder.

Either way he looks like he should do more than he often does.

Physical profile more in line with recent signings than would be going for a small winger for example.

Looks like the plan B to Doucoure.
Looks like the plan B to Doucoure.

Yes.

Better option, stylistically for me.

General consensus from the Twitter chat from Arsenal fans is we've had our pants pulled down, they genuinely cant believe anyone has actually bought him, let alone paid 35-40 million for him. I hope some on here are right and the masses of Arsenal fans are wrong.

While they might be right...

Our point of view is that if he provides something we’re missing (he does), he will also improve everyone else.

Got to love the Arsenal fans are idiots shouts about...imagine the shoe was on the other foot and you had rival fans trying to tell us that Niasse was a decent striker. They watch him week-in week-out and whilst they might be sad that a homegrown player is leaving they're widely ridiculing the fee...how it's absolute daylight robbery.

But, sure, let's all live in denial and dismiss them as not knowing anything about their own players.

Most people are thick about transfer fees though.

More sensible and believable than the stories of us piling in with panic bids on the last day... but NOT AS EXCITING!!

I mean we must have been in negotiations with them otherwise he wouldn’t have submitted a transfer request.

But yes, at least a bit more controlled.

Powder dry and all that.

Young version of Walcott? Interested to see how our starting xi shapes out once everyone is settled in and who will play on the right. Looks like iwobi played on both wings for arsenal at times

Opposite style of player.

More like a bigger, more dribbling Pienaar, is say

Obviously Sig is more likely to score more goals over a season, their careers to date indicate this.

Equally, we shouldn’t assume that Iwobi would miss that chance every time either.

Tries things, works hard, generally makes things happen.

Hopefully he gets support from most people as he’s got a chance to be really important for us.

Watch Deulofeu dig his cross out for gray from tonight!

Totally unrelated but thought it was interesting. Also since he left we've bought about 10 right sided wingers and I reckon he'd still walk into our side.

Easy to forget why he wasn’t walking into the side when he was here though!

I’d still rather have kept him for the fee we got, but I do think he’s the type of player that when he plays well it’s easy to think that you’d be getting that all the time.
