Victor Anichebe's injury time strike has sent Nigeria to the 2008 Olympic games!

Contrary to early reports, Victor didnt start the match and was only introduced during the second half when Nigeria were already one goal to the good against the South Africans.

An own goal fifteen minutes from time made the score 2-0, although Victor looked well placed to finish anyway.

The victory was assured in injury time. A long ball from Nigeria's number 13 sent Anichebe away. Victor displayed great strength, took the ball away from the defender and finished beautifully to send Nigeria to China!
