Steve Sidwell's price just keeps on tumbling!

The Mirror today claimed that the Blues could be in with a shot of signing the player for just £2m, but claimed that wages could be a problem.

However, with Sidwell reportedly earning just £35k a week, that seems hard to believe...

Defender Darren Dennehy has been named in Republic of Ireland Under-21 manager Don Givens' squad for an eight-nation Intercontinental Cup to be held in Malaysia from May 15th.

Ireland have been placed in a group alongside Nigeria, Iraq and Malaysia.

Allround good guy, Joey Barton, will not be at Goodison Park this Sunday to see his boyhood team qualify for Europe.

Instead, the Newcastle midfielder will sit at home and ponder the night in December that led to him being unable to set foot in his home-town until a court case decides his fate.

Pardon the TribalFootball-esque headline, but Everton have reportedly taken 14-year old Liberian striker Abraham Donzo on trial from his parent club, Ottawa Fury FC of Canada.

Abraham spent two weeks training with the academy last year and is back again for his spring break. The youngster arrived in Canada from Liberia in September 2005.

The Fury's technical director Colin Murdy told ontariosoccer.ca: “We have all been pleased and excited by the progress that Abraham has made over the past year.

"As a talented young player he still has aspects of the game he has to continue to develop, and the opportunity to train at the Everton academy will certainly improve his skill sets."

He continued: "Ray Hall, the Everton Academy Director, was pleased with Abraham’s performance and arranged for this second opportunity for Abraham to be evaluated by the Everton staff. We are all delighted to see one of our talented young Fury players being given this chance and that Everton are keen to develop an ongoing relationship with the Fury.”
