Rumours in the Italian media have linked Victor Anichebe with a move to German side Bayer Leverkusen.

With no quotes, and no figures mentioned, this rumour is far-fetched at best, but keep your eye out for Germans in suits at West Derby cashpoints...

Lee Carsley could make a shock move to Birmingham City, according to the Sun.

He will get a two-year deal — double what we are offering.

Zoltan Gera is apparently to be Everton's first new signing of the summer on a free move from West Brom.

The 29 year old Hungarian midfielder is set to have a medical with the Blues and will be joining when his contract officially ends at the Hawthorns.

Keith Wyness has allayed fears that David Moyes could be on his way out of Goodison Park this summer and insists that contract negotiations are still progressing well.

Wyness said: "Bill (Kenwright) and David have been deep in talks for some months.

"Those talks are going fine, there is absolutely no problem there at all."

Oddly though, David Moyes said at the beginning of last month that contract negotiations would not start until the end of the season.... ...discuss this in our forum...
