Leon Osman looks set to finally have his much needed knee operation - having delayed it for over a month. Osman is awaiting the results of a scan before making a decision, with any operation taking place over the international break. It is believed Osman could be out for anything up to 8 weeks.

Joleon Lescott has surprisingly retained his place in the England squad, having been poor all season for Everton. Lescott - who has looked a shadow of his former self - looks set to be involved for the games against Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Everton Ladies - the usually reliable Toffee team - have been dumped out of the League Cup by the mighty Arsenal, losing 3-1 yesterday afternoon. Fara Williams netted for the Blues.
