Leon Osman looks set to finally have his much needed knee operation - having delayed it for over a month. Osman is awaiting the results of a scan before making a decision, with any operation taking place over the international break. It is believed Osman could be out for anything up to 8 weeks.

Manuel Fernandes is not in Valencia's plans for the future, sporting director Juan Sanchez has told the Spanish media.

The Portugese was on loan at Everton after failing to make an impression at Valencia, whom he famously snubbed Everton for just six months earlier, and although he took his time about it, he started to show just why we were all so upset at missing out on him last summer.

“We invested a lot on a player and we are going to find a solution to help him play regularly next season,” Sanchez said today.

“It won’t be guaranteed to him here so we’re going to find him a new team.

“In principle he’s not part of our plans but we never know what can happen.” ...discuss this in our forum...
