The 21 year old has been in sparkling form of late, but it seems that isn't enough to claim a place on Everton's bench.

One-time Everton starlet Sean Doherty has now signed on for Unibiond Premier side Marine AFC.

Doherty moved to Fulham whilst still an academy player, in what was seen as a controversial move at the time, but failed to fulfil his potential.

After leaving Fulham he spent time with ADO Den Haag, Port Vale, Accrington Stanley, Belgian club Royal Antwerp, Sligo Rovers and Witton Albion.

David Moyes has announced that Andy Johnson is not for sale, and that he is looking forward to working with the striker when the players regroup at Finch Farm next week.

The boss said, "Andy Johnson is not for sale - it is that simple. He is a highly-valued member of my senior squad and I look forward to seeing him when the players report back for pre-season training."
