Leon Osman looks set to finally have his much needed knee operation - having delayed it for over a month. Osman is awaiting the results of a scan before making a decision, with any operation taking place over the international break. It is believed Osman could be out for anything up to 8 weeks.

Steven Pienaar has greeted the news that Andrew Johnson will be going nowhere with delight, and insisted that keeping players like AJ around will help the team bond.

Steven said, "We all know AJ is a good player. He's a quality player and a team player. Us losing him would be a hole in our team so it is good news that he's staying.

The longer the players play together, the better the team gets and the bond between the players will be even bigger. So like I say, it's really good news for us." ...discuss this in our forum...
