Dan Gosling's hopes of making the England squad for the UEFA European U19 Championships this month may be in doubt.

Manager Brian Eastick announces his final 18-man squad for the tournament on Wednesday but has revealed that Gosling could miss out through injury.

Speaking to theFA.com, Eastick said: “We’ve had to put an initial squad of 30 in to UEFA and one or two players are missing here, people like James Tomkins and Kieran Gibbs who are still on holiday.

“At the end of these three days, I will sit down with my staff and announce a squad of 18.

“There are still one or two doubts. People like Danny Gosling, Danny Sturridge, Sone Aluko and Victor Moses have got a few problems so we’ll look at how they are and look at them physically and at the bigger picture in terms of the preparation.”

England's opening match of the tournament takes place on 14 July against hosts Czech Republic....discuss this on the forums
