David Moyes was happy to see his side pick up their first win in eight attempts.
Everton managed to stave off a fightback from West Ham in the second half, of today's game, to win 2-1. Speaking after the match, Moyes thought the performance could have been better but insisted that the three points were all that mattered tonight.
"It [the performance] was just okay," Moyes told evertonTV. "But it was a much-needed three points.
"We know we're not in a great moment right now. When we went 2-0 up it felt like a good moment, but then to lose a goal just after it meant there were 35 minutes - or what felt like an hour and 35 minutes - of horrible moments."
The Everton boss also reserved praise for Louis Saha, who once again showed his quality by rifling home Everton's first goal from 20 yards out.
"It was a really good goal," Moyes said. "We know he's got that capability and he's good at scoring from outside the box. We hadn't created a lot up to that point so it was welcome."...discuss this on the forums
