Yakubu has stated that Everton will go on the offensive against Manchester United tomorrow.

The 26 year old has worked his way back to full fitness following his ankle ligament injury, and warned the Red Devils that Everton will not sit back at Old Trafford tomorrow.

"We go to Old Trafford wanting the win," he told evertonfc.com.

"We really want to win and we don't want to just sit back and defend as they attack us, but we'll see how it goes.

"Hopefully though we'll get the three points we are looking for."

The Nigerian striker, who scored in Nigeria's 3-2 win last weekend to send them to the World Cup, said he was looking forward to facing the Premier League champions and stated that the 2-1 win over West Ham two weeks ago has helped to life confidence within the current Everton squad.

"I am looking forward to facing Manchester United." Yak continued.

"We know we have been struggling with numbers so the win against West Ham was good for us. We are back on track and the spirit is high."...discuss this on the forums
