Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
For context, the fella in the article said his knees weren’t what they once were. That’s it. I’d never dismiss people with genuine mobility concerns. Just feel he’s being really dramatic about the walk into town as are a lot of people who could walk it no problem, but just can’t be arsed because we...

Re: The race for... Europe?
I also don’t see the point in not being honest about the competition though. I’d still enjoy us being in it, but when we look back and see the likes of Fulham, Brighton and Brentford winning it it won’t be considered that great of an achievement. We’ll see how much the fanbase embraces it next seas...

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
It wasn’t just the walk to town though, was it? He said he has bad knees and the walk, plus all the extra walking and steps inside the concourses, plus after all that standing around waiting for the train at Sandhills - all add up to a bad experience for him. I think that’s fair, not dramatic. And ...

Re: The race for... Europe?
I’m not saying we’re above it. Just being realistic as to where winning the conference league would sit as an achievement. We’ll see the appetite for it when we’re playing the 4th placed team from Poland at home on a Thursday night No idea of the age demographic on here, but I bet there's a few who...

Re: The race for... Europe?
1000% this, we've not won anything for 3 decades, imagine people thinking winning the conference league would be beneath us. Absolutely bizarre.

Re: The race for... Europe?
2x RB 1x LB 1x winger * 1x CF * Depending on if we sign Grealish. If we do we still need a young pace merchant for off the bench or rotation. If we don't we need to be looking at someone of the profile we did last summer like Fofana, Conceicao etc We don't need a CB or CM, we have enough of those al...

Same as their height will be needed at corners... Will depend on Branthwaite's availability though as Moyes stated we have to manage his minutes from here on in.Bluebridge wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 4:18 pm I think it’ll be four centre backs across the back. Moyes ultra cautious masterclass.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Aren't we one of the best teams statistically defending corners? I do agree it feels like we've let in soft ones but I'm sure we're at the top end of that particular table Not sure the stats tbh, but I meant more what you said about conceding soft goals from them. We're generally strong but I also ...

Re: Arsenal v Everton
They score goals from set pieces and we seem for some reason we concede more than we should from them.
2-0 Arsenal, both goals from corners.

Re: The race for... Europe?
Maybe all these dodgy team selections by Moyes is because he knows Europe would fuck us so he's throwing in McNeil in the hope of tanking the game, then having to watch him come off to a standing ovation after a really good performance

Re: The race for... Europe?
Earlier on the season I argued against Europe, but now it's a distinct possibility I'm all in on it.
There's many benefits and many downsides, but I think given where we've been then to qualify for Europe is a huge success we'd need to embrace.

There’s another of him saying it was only 10% of the blues that wanted him gone. Keyboard warriors I believe he calls that set of fans. Technically he's right if he's not specified when this was... Immediately after saving us from relegation in the Lampard season? Yeah probably correct... At the en...

Re: The fall of Spurs
I was just looking at their team compared to about 4 years ago and they no longer have players like Lloris, Dier, Son, Kane and Hojberg. Probably all important characters for them in the squad. Ben Davies seems to be their Seamus Coleman but he doesn’t play very often. Despite their alarming form I...

Re: The fall of Spurs
The fact that it didn’t work at all with Frank is the biggest red flag here. It’s a bit too late in the season for the team to pivot to a more possession-based style (which they were already quite weak with in the league last season). These players aren’t responding to a disciplinarian, don’t think...
