Re: Merlin Röhl
But the point stands, he’s an outlier because he can impact games and make you more likely to win than not. That is the only calculation moyes is doing. Talent, physical, instruction, application - will I gain more than I lose in this immediate game? He’s one of the best the prem has ever had at th...

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Tough for him with Myko behind him though, we saw Jack struggle once teams realised no one was going to overlap him or if they did produce absolutely nothing from it.

Re: Merlin Röhl
Moyes plays the player most able to impact the game today, though following instructions or application of talent and physical attributes, vs the balance of those things. He always has. If we had a 17 year old Wayne Rooney at the club he’d be playing at the weekend but we do not. Rooney is a massiv...

Re: Merlin Röhl
Why is it costing us £100m to sign three players and why is that all we’re able to do? What do you think it'd cost? How much do you think we could spend? I'm obviously speculating but I doubt we'll have much more than that to spend given the new cost cap rules, and it's inline with what we spent la...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Could do with a ball playing cb, he makes such a difference when he plays but it’s clear his body is unable to keep up. Shame we’re extending Keane as there probably isn’t room for another cb now. I'm hoping Jake's extended stint at RB helps him become that ball playing CB who is comfortable steppi...

Re: Merlin Röhl
LB - £25m
RB - £25m
ST - £50m
That's £100m to address the most important aspects of the team... Not sure where people think we're getting the money from to also add in quality CMs and CBs. Unless people are happy to go another season without the above, which imo would be absolutely criminal.

Re: Merlin Röhl
Yeah he has, and he’s still nowhere near as good as Gana. Neither is Garner tbh despite the hype. night and day in how they show up in games. I don’t think Tim will ever be ganas level and maybe not even complete enough to play prem regularly? He’s come on leaps and bounds an still can’t get a game...

Re: Merlin Röhl
Tim is honestly nowhere near as good as Gana. Let Gana leave by all means, go and buy a top CM. Tim has come on leaps and bounds despite not playing a huge amount. More than happy for him and Rohl to share the minutes next season. How are we ever going develop talent if we don't play them? Also peo...

Re: The race for... Europe?
Definitely feels like Bournemouth and Brighton's form has put a spanner in the works. Can't see us finishing above 8th but it's so tight that we could see us still finish anywhere from 6th to 12th. Just got to take it a game at a time, we're very unpredictable so it's really hard to judge what games...

Re: Merlin Röhl
Moyes tends to rely on a small core of players. Genuinely don't think we sell him, I just think Moyes isn't one to rush through players. I'd be more worried if we don't see much of him next season. I'm more concerned about Tim's situation, I think there is a player there too but his contract is run...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
We won’t be signing a left back if mykolenko is still here. They’ll kick the can down the road just like they did last summer with giving Keane a new deal. Maybe, who knows... I think the thing here is that if we can't afford to spend on an LB it would be even more crazy to let our only one leave o...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
Another opportunity but ive very little faith in them getting it right. Whatever anyone's opinions of individual players we signed we ultimately signed a load of players moyes doesnt want to play over the last 2 windows. That cant happen again I think he'll get exactly what he asks for this summer,...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
Myko has an option for the club to extend his contract by 1 year (according to Patrick Boyland). Makes sense, we aren't in a position to buy 2 left backs this summer so keep Myko as backup and buy an attacking pacy LB as our starter. Would be mad to let him go on a free and have to reduce what we c...
