Took us "as far as he could" as well, we then had a horrid time year-on-year afterwards. Is he a Mourinho who ruins long-term prospects for short term wins (his decade in charge of us makes that unlikely) or is he simply someone who gets more than he should out of the parts he has to work...

Yep another half a season playing regularly in his best position in the a Championship team trying for the playoffs is infinitely better than being stuck out on the wing or being a bit part player here.

I was of the same opinion until I watched Villa’s game yesterday - as bad as anything I’ve ever seen. Now I don’t know what I’d prefer as much as I hate VAR, refereeing just isn’t fit for purpose
