Re: Positive outlook for remainder of season
Plenty to be positive about, I don't get the general downer some people have at times, it's probably just a default for many. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing how the next few years pan out after all the shite we've been through. Branthwaite is a conce...

Re: Positive outlook for remainder of season
I don't think you can rely on Branthwaite, he's injury prone anyway and players coming off a long injury end up with little niggles and strains while they try and get back up to full fitness. I would think we'll treat him with kid gloves for most of the remainder of the season and hopefully keep hi...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
I actually suspect we arent really scouting players. Think we probably signed barry primarily because he scored 13 goals in Spain. Probably signed dibbling primarily because there were nice stories that he was the next big thing and worth 100m. I dont think we are much deeper than that. Think we ar...

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?
Footy off the pitch is now full of accountants, agents, the media and lawyers. And on the pitch it is full of boring system-oriented robotic players, and refs with media managers, who are controlled from offices miles away. When do we get footy back? They've completely destroyed it. *shakes fist at ...

Just our scouting, or our organisation as a whole, top to bottom?777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 2:01 pm I think its a fair point that our scouting appears to have been awful for a number of years now. Wouldn't we all like to see better scouting

Re: David Moyes
I agree. But we all know Moyes. He won't try new things even if we are clear of relegation. I would love to be wrong about that. But if you know your history... He has his ways and we mostly know what we're going to get. And for that at the moment I'm kind of ok with, its positive and an improvemen...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
It just adds to the reputation that mostly if not all footballers of a certain age are thick as fuck and uneducated..... What an absolute tool I fear the fate of the historian who fails to comprehend the true gravitas of the situation in the survival of 10-man Hearts in their encounter with Dundee...

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?
Keep the automated stuff for when the ball is in/out, and offside. Get rid of all the subjective stuff. If the ref misses it, too bad,...the ref can then be judged on their performance after the game, rather than having an out being able to use the Wenger "I didn't see it" excuse. It puts ...

Re: Scottish Football
Huge result that for Hearts, beat Dundee 1-0 despite playing more than half the game with 10 men after Schwolow was sent off. Craig Gordon just pulled off a stunning save at the end to deny Dundee. Lead back up to 6 points. Probably not surprising, you might expect an increased airspeed velocity, u...

Re: David Moyes
Today again you could see his limitations. There was no surprise that the AFCON was coming and that the Christmas schedule is busy and taking its toll... But Did he try to ease in the younger ones to prepare for the this situation? Or even let them have 10-15 mins here and there? Nope. He runs his ...

Re: Adam Aznou
Basically yes. Was just quite direct, ran at players, decent feet, got a few of theirs booked for trips and such and from battling for the ball. All positive stuff really. That said, don’t want to over egg the pudding. He made a nice impact with his play and winning the penalty (was soft) but I thi...

Would like to hear more about his performance as couldn't watch it. Did he play left wing?

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Massive red flag appointing anyone to any position of influence who is linked with a “super agent” Just a cancer on a club that deliberately fleeces them of as much money as possible and couldn’t give a shit about the outcome or future prospects Can't understand why they just don't tie remuneration...

Not quite 5th and a European trophy from the golden boy of management though right.
