I think it's a bit better than a ''nice to have'' personally. He's an overtly attacking left back, which we don't have. If you're trying to break down a defensive formation at home, he might be used ahead of Myko in certain games.

He can also play right back and on the wing if needed, so there's added flexibility in the squad.

Yeah, perfect profile to slowly overtake Mykolenko unless Myko starts showing something with the ball at his feet.

His versatility means he’ll get plenty of games which is important at 19. Moyes will probably want to use him on the wing first, he’s usually cautious when integrating new defenders.

Yep definitely better than just nice to have. We now have a backup left back who has the potential to not only become first choice but possibly become a real asset both on the pitch and financially down the line.

Maybe not quite as pressing as an RW or CM but not far behind on terms of importance imo.
