What is the Salah transfer fee likely to be?

I know they often get over inflated fees but speaking to a couple of Kopites in work the other day and one of them goes “flog him for 50mil” and I started laughing cos I thought they were joking

Then the other said “be at least 75mil”

50-75mil for an unhappy, out of form on the decline 33 year old with 18months left on his contract and with the selling club seemingly desperate to get him off the books?!

100 mill surely ? To a Saudi team? They pay over the odds and isnt he a star boy to them?

He should still be able to command a very decent fee in Saudi Arabia and would probably be even better more treated like royalty over there (probably even threaten to chop the hand of the manager who dares to drop him to the bench for one game).

Not sure though they’ll get £100m for him, but £50m might not be unrealistic considering he is a superstar in the Arab world

The Saudi public investment fund is low on cash (that Neom project is looking like a disaster) so it'll be interesting to see if they continue to waste money on big football transfers and wages.

Who knows what it'll be, but he's still a global player, he's a massive figure in the Middle Eastern market (which loves the Prem) and he's an icon for Adidas.

It would surprise me if it was 50m or above at all. Whoever signs him will probably make a lot of that back very, very quickly.

Ivan Toney went for £35m so fully expect Salah to be double that tbh.

Might well happen but the Saudis are morons when it comes to fees. Salah is worth probably zero in europe now because of his contract. Theres no reason for the Saudis to pay poor than the going rate in a transfer fee though they repeatedly do

Be funny if he blew his ACL in the AFCON and is out for a long period of time (disclaimer - I never used to wish injury on players but he’s had a distinguished enough career for this to be acceptable and pissing the RS off)

Saw that before and it was quite funny, although the full contex was a little different. Other than that most of what Carragher said was spot on.

I think they’ll get about forty million - it’s very clear they want him gone and Saudi is the only option so all the power is with Saudi in negotiations.

He’s on four hundred grand a week, they can’t afford to have him sitting in the reserves

Things like length of contract and player age is not so important in Saudi because they have so much money. Nothing regarding a fee would surprise me.

Given they way they spent half a billion in the summer then I'm not that worried about how much they get for him.

No confirmation but Liverpool fearing Isak has a 'significant' lower leg injury.
